CConstantly on the prowl for cool new music i found David Byrne and Fatboy Slim and there new music on Teen Vogue . Their album is called Here Lies Love. It has a very retro-dancy feel!

New Love
With six days left till 2011 i have decided to (completely irrelevantly) speak of my new found love; for the 1990's. Specifically 1990's films. By films i mean '10 things i hate about you' and 'Clueless'. Both are adoptions of famous stories. '10 things i hate about you' is based on Shakespeare's arguably most misogynistic play 'The taming of the Shrew' and 'Clueless' is based on Jane Austen's 'Emma'. I've read 'Pride and Prejudice' which, after much persistence through the first third of the book, i enjoyed thoroughly. After recently watching 'Clueless' i think i might give 'Emma' another go.
One of my favourite parts:
Murray: Woman, lend me fi' dollas.
Dionne: Murray, I have asked you repeatedly not to call me "woman."
M: Excuse me, Ms. Dionne.
D: Thank you.
M: Street slang is an increasingly valid form of expression. Most of the feminine pronouns do have mocking but not necessarily misogynistic undertones.
Tai: Wow, you guys talk like grown-ups.
Cher: Oh, well, this is a really good school.

Oh the joys of the 90's!
'twas the night after Christmas
'Twas the night after Christmas and all through the house- a 10 year old girl was throwing a tantrum after finding out that that this particular year she would be receiving less presents than she found acceptable. (I know what you're probably thinking, "Spoilt brat," i was as well). She was in such a state that her poor mother recruited her older sister to find some more presents for her. So out of a box came a new (looking) teddy bear and stuffed toy monkey. The older sister (me) wrapped the presents in one layer of wrapping paper, one layer of red cellophane, and six layers of newspaper. The card was stuffed with glitter dust and the slightest disturbance would cause the glitter to cover the holder of the card. (believe me, the desk and chair were completely covered in it).
